School Horse Riding Program
The school horse riding program at Fremont Hills Stables focuses on the fundamentals of riding as well as establishing strong horsemanship skills. In order to become a strong rider the student must first understand the horse: how he thinks, how he moves, and what care he requires. The student is taught how to safely handle the horse, proper grooming techniques, care and maintenance of tack, and the unique characteristics of the horse. It is the mastery of this basic knowledge, combined with proper riding practices, that makes a true "horseperson."

The riding program is run by Laura Wainwright. She has been an avid rider since childhood and has a competition background in 3-day eventing, hunter/jumpers, and dressage. Most recently Laura managed Shaw's Saddlery in Cupertino, Northern California's largest tack and apparel store. At the same time Laura worked as an assistant trainer, where she led group and private lessons, supported clients at horse shows, and competed young horses and sale horses. Laura is really excited to be part of Fremont Hills Stables and hopes to bring fun and success to each student.
