Safety

The most important element of the Fremont Hills lesson program is safety. Those not following safe practices will not be allowed to participate in the program. Please review the following guidelines before participating in lessons. These practices will help all horses and riders have a safe & enjoyable experience.
  • Do not yell, run, throw things, or make sudden movements near the horses.
  • Never ride without an adult supervisor (this applies to adults & children).
  • Never ride or take a horse from the paddock without the permission of the instructor.
  • Always report to your instructor any fall, accident, or injury, even if it seems minor.
  • Always tie horses with a quick-release knot. If you don't know how, ask the instructor.
  • Always ask the instructor to check the bridle and girth before mounting.
  • Never ride on any trail alone.
  • Do not ride or lead horses on the road.
  • Do not hand-feed treats to the horses. If you wish to bring treats, please ask the instructor for assistance.
  • Do not leave objects on the ground near the horses when they are tied. This includes grooming supplies and buckets.
